[ Kuroko may have been someone who looked forward to Seirin's training camp excursions more than most on his team, but that didn't mean he was any less excited at the idea of going to the beach for a day of fun and relaxation instead. The rest of the week had been depressingly muggy and humid, but the day of the beach trip the skies are clear and the sun is shining brightly, and Kuroko is in a good mood all morning as he finishes packing his beach bag, says goodbye to Nigou, and heads out to catch the train.

The beach is just starting to fill up with a decent crowd by the time he arrives, but he knows it wouldn't be difficult to spot his friends (it was a bit of an understatement to say that they tended to stand out). Which is why, after a good ten minutes of scanning the area, he wonders where they could be. He checks his phone for the last message he'd received about the outing -- it's the right place and the right date, so it's probably just that he's early. He figures the onus is on the first-to-arrive to pick a good spot for them, so he chooses a reasonably secluded patch of sand, lays out his beach towel, and decides to pass the time by making an attempt to blow up the large inflatable beach ball he'd packed with him. ]

[ today has officially been The Worst.

for starters!! he stayed up so late last night trying to study for a test in one of his classes that he ended up passing out on top of his textbooks without remembering to set his alarm. and that meant that by the time the alarm on daichi's phone woke him up, he had just enough time to hurriedly throw on his clothes, grab his stuff, and bolt out the door. naturally, it's pouring outside, and naturally, being late means that he forgot to grab his umbrella, so! by the time he arrives to campus, he's soaking wet and fifteen minutes late for his first lecture. and that test that he'd worked so hard to prepare for? his professor went ahead and decided to push it off until their next class meeting -- which would have been great news, except he promptly got hit by a pop quiz in his next class of the day. (the class that he'd neglected to prepare for properly last night so that he'd have a little extra time to study.) and! just for icing on the cake, when he stops by one of the stores on campus to grab an umbrella to make his trip home a little less miserable...

... suga realizes that he'd forgotten his wallet at home that morning, because of course he did.

so, when he finally makes it back to their apartment, suga toes his shoes off at the front door, drops all of his stuff in a messy heap right at the doorway, and makes a beeline for their bedroom. fortunately, daichi is home -- and right in the middle of studying for something Very Important, if all the books and notes spread out on his bed are any indication, but... suga shambles right on over to him regardless, promptly flopping directly on top of him in a soaking wet heap of misery. ]

Ugh.
